Bequests to Al-Anon in Your Will
Bequests
The WSO may accept a one-time bequest from an Al-Anon member's estate or trust in any amount. Bequest amounts, up to ten percent of the total revenue of the WSO General Fund as identified in the previous year's audit will be placed in the General Fund. Members may designate, in a spirit of gratitude, more than the ten percent; however, the portion of the bequest above the ten percent will be reported separately on the financial statements. The World Service Conference will authorize the use of these excess amounts and the authorized expenditures will be administered by the Board of Trustees. These excess amounts are not available for general purposes, unless further authorized by the Conference. (Contact the WSO for details.)
In maintaining the principle of anonymity, no individual's gift is acknowledged publicly nor can the gift be earmarked for any specific purpose or program. Al-Anon members give knowing that the money will be spent continuing to support and expand the program that brought us peace and serenity during our lives.

World Service Conference Summary
The World Service Conference convenes annually. During this time, one elected Delegate from each Assembly Area along with the Board of Trustees, the Executive Committee, and Al-Anon administrative staff members of the World Service Office come together to discuss and make decisions on important matters affecting Al-Anon/Alateen as a whole.
The Conference Summary is the annual written report to the Al-Anon/Alateen groups of the World Service Conference activities. Additionally, thought-provoking, growth-providing ideas can be adapted or adopted for outreach and "inreach," including specific skits, workshops, and meeting topics.

'3 for 3' Tent Card
At the Spring 2017 Assembly our Delegate distributed the '3 for 3' tent card to use at Al-Anon group meetings. It shows the change in costs of items between 1950 and 2017. The purpose of the tent card is to give Al-Anon members a perspective for their '7th Tradition' donation. The following is the downloadable version of this card:
3 for 3 Tent Card(.pdf)Welcoming Checklist
The World Service Office has developed the 'Welcoming Checklist' as an official service tool. The checklist is an opportunity to remind us to
prepare ourselves and our groups to welcome newcomers who find their way to Al‑Anon.
Perhaps it could be part of the announcements at your next meeting or two.
Ask a member (or two) to help determine if there is anything on the list that would be helpful to a newcomer that the group is not already doing.
Encouraging a member to help with a little bit of 'service work' goes a long way to feel like they belong!
The following is the downloadable version of this list:
